Staples this week announced it has reached an agreement with Corporate Express under which Corporate Express recommends the all-cash offer by Staples for Corporate Express, a deal worth $4.8 billion, including the cost of stock and debt assumption. The combined companies will be major force in office supplies and printing in North America, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
